France and its allies have started the active phase of the ORION 2026 military exercises, in which more than 12,000 soldiers will be involved, reports Le Parisien.
"More than 12,000 soldiers, one third of whom came from allied countries, will gradually be deployed in the territory of the country (France) from February 8 to April 30," the publication states.
140 planes and helicopters, 1,200 unmanned aerial vehicles, 2,150 units of equipment, including armored personnel carriers and tanks, as well as the Charles de Gaulle naval ship will be involved in the exercise, the newspaper reports.
