The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, called EU membership the main guarantee of Ukraine's security.
"Guarantees for the future security of Ukraine must be comprehensive and legally established at the international level. Otherwise, we cannot say that the war is over.
This is not limited to military aid. We are talking about creating a long-term system that will prevent Russian aggression and make it impossible to repeat a large-scale invasion.
One of the most important components of such guarantees is Ukraine's full membership in the EU. "It is the EU that will provide reliable political, economic and legal protection from external threats in the long term," the President of Ukraine noted.
