Egypt called on the US and Iran to resolve their differences through diplomatic channels

Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelati called on both sides to ease tensions and take diplomatic measures to maintain stability in the Middle East during talks with US and Iranian officials, Egypt Today reports.

It refers to the minister's telephone conversations with the Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and the special envoy of the US President Steve Wittkoff. During those conversations, Badr Abdelati emphasized the need to make greater efforts to reduce tension and achieve a calm atmosphere, reports the periodical.

According to him, the Egyptian minister emphasized the need to stick to diplomacy and pave the way for the resumption of dialogue between Washington and Tehran, which will solve the Iranian nuclear problem.

The Egyptian Foreign Minister believes that a possible agreement on the US-Iran nuclear program should take into account the interests of all parties and contribute to security and stability both at the regional and international levels.
