Iran removes restrictions on international Internet access in the country

Iran is removing all restrictions on access to the international Internet in the country, TASS agency reported, referring to an Iranian diplomatic source.

"Currently, not only all the restrictions of the national internet platform in all areas have been removed, but also gradually, starting from January 19, the restrictions of the international internet have been removed," the interlocutor of the agency noted.

According to him, in the letter addressed to the relevant bodies, President Masoud Pezeshkian demanded to remove all restrictions in order to revitalize the Internet market and provide access to the international Internet for the public. That process is currently under implementation.
