The RA State Revenue Committee takes continuous steps to reduce the shadow economy, prevent tax evasion and uncover customs violations. This is reported by SRC.
The other day, two tractor trailers carrying passenger vehicles arrived at the "Agarak" border checkpoint from the Republic of Iran. According to the operational information received from the border guard troops of the National Security Service of the Republic of Armenia, the customs officers of the crossing point "Agarak" carried out an inspection of vehicles.
As a result, a large batch of undeclared Armenian-made tobacco products, 7,000 packs of cigarettes, was taken out of the cabins of the vehicles installed on the trailers.
In accordance with Article 316 of the RA Law "On Customs Regulation", a protocol was drawn up regarding the violation of customs rules. SRC urges to refrain from illegally transporting goods across the RA border.
