Britain and France could send up to 15,000 troops to Ukraine

Great Britain and France could deploy up to 15,000 troops in Ukraine if a peace agreement is signed, The Times reported, citing its sources.

The publication recalls that the British military had previously proposed sending 10,000 soldiers as part of a wider "coalition of volunteers" of 64,000, but the British Ministry of Defense had deemed such a plan unfeasible given the current size of its army.

Two military sources told The Times that London could eventually deploy fewer than 7,500 troops, with the rest coming from France.
According to the newspaper's sources, even the total number of 15,000 people seems optimistic.

According to The Times, British and French units may be involved in training Ukrainian troops and overseeing the construction of secure facilities for the storage of weapons and military equipment.
