The list of 1000 largest taxpayers of Armenia itself gives rise to quite remarkable analyzes not only of taxes paid in general, the movement of companies in that list, but also in terms of the situation in which sector.
This time the 2024 published by the SRC. In the January-September list of 1000 large taxpayers, we studied the "field" of food production.
According to the published data, about 30 billion drams of tax was paid by the organizations operating in the field of food production (the classification was carried out on the basis of the classification of types of economic activity approved by the order of the Minister of Economy of the Republic of Armenia No. 874-N of September 19, 2013). It is interesting that almost 50% of the mentioned amount falls to... three organizations: "Grand Candy", "Athens" and "Baghramyan".
In particular, the "Grand Candy" company, engaged in the production of confectionery and ice cream, paid 6.4 billion drams in taxes, or 21% of the sector's taxes. This company is the 30th in the list of large taxpayers. Next is the "Athens" company engaged in the production of meat products, which paid 5.4 billion drams in taxes, or 18% of taxes in the sector.
By the way, "Athens" has risen by 24 positions compared to the same period last year and is 38th in the list of 1000 large taxpayers. Finally, the best three is rounded off by the flour producing company "Baghramyan", which paid 2.8 billion drams in taxes or taxes of the sector. 9%.
This organization is 85th in the list. We should add that only the three mentioned companies are in the top 100 in the field of food production.
