Maduro announced that the US will not be able to impose colonial rule on Venezuela

The US government will not be able to impose a colonial government model on Venezuela or steal its natural resources, the President of the Bolivarian Republic, Nicolas Maduro, announced on the air of the Venezolana de Televisión TV channel.

"It is impossible for the US authorities to invent a virtual reality and impose a model of colonial rule and exploitation on Venezuela, as well as steal its natural resources," the head of state said.

"It is impossible," the president repeated in English, emphasizing that the Venezuelan people have shown the ability to "lead the country on the right path."
Maduro noted that Venezuela seeks peace and mutual understanding. He called on the United States to abandon the failed projects that Washington has been trying to implement in Venezuela for 25 years.

If the United States is ready to engage in dialogue on a respectful basis, "we will always find here a president who will represent his people to reach out, to seek ways of peace, cooperation and prosperity," Maduro stressed.
