The preliminary investigation carried out in the criminal proceedings investigated by the RA Anti-Corruption Committee confirmed that the deputy battalion commander of the N military unit of the RA Ministry of Defense, with the prior agreement with the warehouse chief of the same military unit, committed a group theft of large amounts of diesel fuel. In particular, the preliminary investigation revealed that the deputy battalion commander of the military unit stole 700 liters of diesel fuel did not put the surplus in the warehouse, but in order to sell it and find a buyer, he applied to the platoon commander of the same military unit, after which the mentioned fuel was taken out of the military unit by the buyer's car and sold, and the money was divided among the mentioned persons.
The preliminary investigation also revealed that after that they tried to take another 2 tons of diesel fuel out of the military unit with the same car in order to sell it again, but the members of the group could not complete the criminal act, because the storekeeper was arrested and transferred to the Anti-Corruption Committee.
Accusations were filed against the deputy battalion commander and the storekeeper of the military unit for robbery and attempted theft under Article 256, Part 2, Clauses 1 and 2, and Article 44-256, Part 2, Clauses 1, 2 and 3. Accusations were also presented to the platoon commander and the fuel buyer. House arrest was applied to the latter as a preventive measure. During the preliminary investigation, the damage caused to the state was fully recovered.
The preliminary investigation in the criminal proceedings has been completed, and the materials of the proceedings have been sent to the RA Anti-Corruption Court with an indictment.
