The train loaded with Azerbaijani gasoline arrived at "Ayrum" station in Armenia


The train loaded with Azeri gasoline sent from Azerbaijan to Armenia through the territory of Georgia arrived at "Ayrum" railway station. The correspondent of "Armenpress" informs about this from the "Ayrum" station. The head of the "Vanadzor" station association of the "South Caucasus Railways" company Seryozha Mkrtchyan told the "Armenpress" correspondent that since 1988, Armenia has not received any type of oil products from Azerbaijan, this is the first train with 22 wagons.

Earlier, RA Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan mentioned on his Facebook page the import of Azerbaijani gasoline to Armenia. stressing that this is the first commercial and economic transaction between Armenia and Azerbaijan after independence.

The agreement on the purchase of Azerbaijani gasoline was reached in Gabala on November 28 during the meeting of the Deputy Prime Ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan, Mher Grigoryan and Shahin Mustafaev. The cargo belongs to a private person. Let's remember that this was preceded by the arrival of trains loaded with Russian and Kazakh wheat through the territory of Azerbaijan.
