On November 28, at 12:20 p.m., a citizen reported to the Tumanyan Department of Community Police that his neighbor, 74-year-old Lyovik Sh., a resident of Alaverdu's Akner district, had not returned home since the previous day, the MIA police said.
On the same day, the community police of Alaverdu, in cooperation with the officers of the Lori regional department of the Criminal Police, found out that on November 27, around 18:00, Lyovik Sh. visited the house of his neighbor, a 75-year-old man, where as a result of a domestic dispute, the neighbor hit Lyovik Sh. on the head with a wooden stick.
The latter died. The 75-year-old man confessed to the crime, and the wooden rod, which was the instrument of the crime, was also found. He was arrested on the basis of reasonable suspicion that he had committed a crime and was taken to the Tumanyan Department of the Community Police.
The prepared documents were transferred to Tumanyan's investigative department. Criminal proceedings have been initiated.
