French specialists of Viginum resistance agency worked during the parliamentary and presidential elections in Moldova. French President Emmanuel Macron announced this during a meeting with the readers of the regional newspaper La Voix du Nord.
"We sent Viginum teams to Moldova, where elections were held, first presidential and then parliamentary," Macron said.
According to him, the reason for this was certain daily "Russian attacks".
In the same context, he also mentioned the presidential elections held in Romania, where one of the candidates was disqualified, and the results of the first round were canceled due to suspicions of foreign interference in the election campaign.
Macron then described in detail how the Russians allegedly helped boost the popularity of one of the candidates in the Central African Republic (CAR) elections through advertising on social networks.
