Scientists have found that motherly obesity changes baby liver in womb

German scientists at Bonnie University have discovered a worrying mechanism for transmitting metabolic disorders. It turned out that the obesity of pregnant women could "rebuild" the fetal liver, increasing the risk of developing fatty liver disease and other metabolic disorders in the future. The study was published in the Nature Scientific Magazine.

The group found out that the immune cells of the liver, coupe cells play an important role in this process. In fatigued mice, these cells begin to send distorted signals to hepatocytes, which makes them accumulate fat more actively. It is wonderful that these changes take place in the prenatal period and continue after birth.

"It's like the band's conductor suddenly started playing completely different music. Cuffer's cells that usually coordinate the liver metabolism processes are beginning to work differently in the case of motherly obesity, "said Professor Elvira, who led the study.

Attempts have shown that the generations of obese mice have developed a fatty liver disease even in case of normal diet. Scientists have discovered a certain molecular mechanism, a special transbribal transcript factor in Coupe Cells, which is responsible for these changes. When the researchers were genetically "turned off" this factor, the liver problems did not take place near the generation. Although the study was conducted on animals, the authors believe that similar processes may take place in humans. This explains why the children of being obese mothers are more likely to suffer from metabolism disorders, even if they run a healthy lifestyle.
