The text of the Declaration on the establishment of peace and interstate relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia

Joint Statement of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia on the results of the meeting in Washington, USA

We are the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, on August 8, 2025, after meeting the United States, after meeting the United States.

1. We and the President of the United States Donald J. Trump was present at the initialing of the agreed text of the Text of the Agreement on the Agreement on the Constitution of Peace and Intergovernmental Relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Armenia. In this regard, we have adopted the need to sign the agreement and continue to achieve further actions and emphasize the importance of maintaining and strengthening peace between our two countries.

2. We also witnessed the signing of the joint application of the OSCE Minsk Group (OSCE) on the closure of the OSCE Minsk Group (OSCE) on the closure of the OSCE Minsk Group (OSCE) by the Foreign Ministers of the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan. We call on all OSCE participating States to adopt this decision.

3. We reaffirmed the importance of opening communications between the two countries for domestic, bilateral and international transport, in the region and itself, to promote peace, stability, territorial integrity and competence. These efforts should include a uninterrupted connection between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Nakhichevan Autonomous Republic through the Republic of Armenia for international and domestic communication for the Republic of Armenia.

4. The Republic of Armenia will work with the United States and the other parties in the United States to develop the scope of Trump Route For International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP). We approve our determination to achieve this goal as soon as possible.

5. We acknowledge the need to develop a bright future, which is not related to past conflicts, the charter of the United Nations and the 1991 Almaty Declaration. Conditions have been created so that our nations will finally start building good-neighborly relations, based on the inadmissibility of international borders, to achieve territories after the conflict that brought huge human suffering. This reality that is not subject to review and should never be, smoothes the way to close the head of hostility between our two nations. We are resolutely rejecting and excluding any attempt at revenge, now and in the future.

6. We have confidence that this summit is a solid foundation for mutual respect and peace in the region.

7. We express deep gratitude to the President of the United States of America Donald J. Trump for a significant hospitality and significant contribution to the normalization of bilateral relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Armenia in the establishment of this important summit.

This Declaration was signed on August 8, 2025 in Washington, the United States of America.
