Vahagn Khachaturian met with Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobachidze in the "Third International Conference of the Third International Conference of Non-Exit" in Turkmenbashi.
During the meeting, President Khachaturian praised the good-neighborly and partnership relations between Armenia and Georgia, especially emphasizing mutual trust and respect for historical ties between the neighboring peoples. The President noted that the partnership between the two countries has been formed as a stable and effective political dialogue over the years, which serves the peace and development of the whole region.
The parties also touched upon bilateral economic cooperation, emphasizing the growing trade turnover by year, as well as the dynamics of business relations development. Both sides stressed the importance of improving the investment environment, implementation of infrastructure programs and promotion of sectoral cooperation, energy to transportation, tourism to innovative areas.
It was also specific to the fact of active mutual visits between the citizens of Armenia and Georgia as a living and solid foundation of bilateral relations.
During the meeting, they also exchanged views on the regional situation and recent developments. The parties stressed the importance of peace, stability and mutual respect as the progress of all states and uninterrupted development.
