Vietnam's parliament has elected a new president

The National Assembly of Vietnam has elected General Liong Kiong as the new president of the country. Vietnam News writes about this.

It is said that all 440 members of the parliament cast 440 votes in favor of Kiong.

After the adoption of the resolution by the National Assembly, the new President Luong Cuong will proceed to the swearing-in ceremony. Former President Tho Lam became the new General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam and, in connection with this, left the post of President.
