The president of Moldova, Maya Sandu, spoke about some foreign forces that are allegedly "attacking democracy" in the country. Sandu's words were quoted by the British newspaper Financial Times.

"(Foreign forces - ed.) attacked our country with tens of millions of euros, lies and propaganda... We will not retreat from the defense of democracy and freedom," he emphasized.

Prior to this, Senator Andrey Klishas stated that on the night of October 21, within the scope of the presidential elections and EU membership voting in Moldova, the votes cast in favor of Chisinau's European integration increased sharply, for which there is no explanation.
