Japanese Prime Minister Shigeri Ishiba will not resign after the second deformation of the Liberal Democratic Party (LDK) in the parliamentary elections. The Prime Minister of the Japanese government announced this at a press conference after the elections in the upper house on Sunday, in which the ruling bloc lost the majority.
In the fall of 2024, the ruling coalition of the LDK and Komarto had already lost its majority in the lower house of parliament, but due to the opposition's disagreements, it was able to form a minority government and remain the head of the government.
"The Japanese people have given us a strong verdict, from which we need to learn serious lessons," Ishyba said, after which they apologize for defeat in the elections.
