British Prime Minister Keir Starmer said allies were working to de-escalate tensions in the Middle East and agreed that there was "no military solution alone" as fighting between Israel and Hezbollah continued. US President Joe Biden suggested that a deal could be reached a ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah may be easier than between Israel and Hamas. Biden said he discussed ways to end the Middle East conflict following the killing of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar in Gaza with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, French President Emmanuel Macron and the German Chancellor Olaf Scholz during their meeting in Berlin on Friday. “In my opinion, and my colleagues agree, it is possible to reach an agreement with Israel and Iran in such a way as to temporarily end the conflict,” he said.
"In other words, stop the clashes. We believe that it is possible to achieve a ceasefire in Lebanon. But in Gaza it will be more difficult. But we agree that there must be a result."
