Kazakhstan appreciates any negotiations that can help in Ukraine to achieve peace. The First Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic Akan Rachsulin told reporters, in response to TASS request, comment on the contacts between Russia and the United States.
"In this context, the situation is very difficult, we appreciate any negotiations, any efforts aimed at resolving this situation, so let's find that diplomatic, political and peaceful solution will be found," he said.
On May 19, Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump had a telephone conversation, which lasted more than two hours. The leaders of the two countries discussed, first of all, the ways to overcome the conflict in Ukraine.
Earlier, Putin and Trump had a telephone conversation on March 18, when the conversation was also dedicated to the settlement of Ukraine. After the March 18 talks, the Spokesman for Kasim-Zhomart Tokayev, the Spokesman for Kazakhstan, Ruslan Jeddibay, said the leader of Kazakhstan welcomed the results of the talks.
