At the invitation of the Vice-Chairman of the National Council of the Slovak Republic Lubosh Blaha, the delegation headed by the Deputy Speaker of the RA National Assembly Hakob Arshakyan is on a working visit to Bratislava. RA NA MPs Hasmik Hakobyan and Taguhi Ghazaryan are included in the delegation.
On May 13, the delegation met the Vice President of the National Council of the Slovak Republic Lubos Blaha. The Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly expressed gratitude for the invitation and hospitality, emphasized the friendly ties between the two peoples, the cultural and spiritual values that connect each other.
It was emphasized to expand the interest of the states in cooperation with Slovakia in all areas of mutual interest both on bilateral and international platforms. The role of parliamentarians in the development of dialogue was especially emphasized.
The Armenia-Azerbaijan peace process and regional developments were presented at the meeting, as well as the agreements reached on border demarcation and demarcation implemented on the basis of the Alma Ata declaration.
The parties discussed the Crossroads of Peace project as an important component of establishing long-term peace in the region.
"Our region needs long-term peace. The peace agenda has no alternative in our region. we have adopted the path of peace and democracy, we are firm in our choice and expect the support of international partners.
Respecting the principles of international law, territorial integrity and sovereignty are an important basis for the establishment of long-term peace in the region," said the deputy speaker of the RA NA.
Speaking about long-term peace in the region, Hakob Arshakyan noted that military balance is one of the most important components of regional peace.
The Deputy Chairman of the National Council of the Slovak Republic also emphasized the friendly relations between the two countries.
Speaking about the need to establish long-term peace in our region, Luboš Blaha noted that Slovakia respects Armenia's territorial integrity and sovereignty.
He highlighted the development of relations between Slovakia and Armenia, noting that additional efforts will be made to further develop existing relations.
