The Speaker of the Georgian Parliament called on Western ambassadors not to interfere in the affairs of the country.

Georgian Parliament Speaker Shalvi Papuashvili has called on the ambassadors of Western countries to stop the intervention in the internal affairs of the republic.

"Unfortunately, it has become an unusual criterion when all of the diplomatic missions think that they can freely interfere in Georgia's internal affairs, despite international legal restrictions on them.

We see that some unjustified comments are made on the day, related to the attacks on Georgia, Georgian justice, the Georgian parliament, the government, papuashvili told reporters.

He reminded the ambassadors that they were subjected to diplomatic relations with the Vienna Convention.

"Everyone must remain diplomatic relations within the framework of the Vienna Convention, in particular, which obliges the representatives of the diplomatic mission not to interfere in the internal affairs of the host country," Papuashvili said.

The frozen of Georgia's relations with the United States and the European Union took place amid the adoption of the law on foreign agents in May last year.
