There is no decision yet on the deployment of THAAD systems in Israel, the Pentagon said.

At this stage, the United States has not made a decision regarding the possible deployment of THAAD missile defense systems in Israel in order to intercept ballistic missiles from Iran, a Pentagon official representative told RIA Novosti.
“No decision has been made on this matter yet,” said a US defense official.
On Saturday, Israeli television's Channel 12 reported, without citing sources, that the United States intends to deploy THAAD systems in Israel in preparation for a new potential Iranian attack. It is alleged that these systems will be serviced by American military personnel in Israel. At the same time, it is not specified what specific number of missile defense systems we are talking about.
On October 1, Iran subjected Israel to massive rocket fire for the second time in history, calling it an act of self-defense. The Israeli military says about 180 ballistic missiles were fired, most of which were intercepted. Videos on social networks captured the aftermath of shells falling in different areas of Israel. The shelling, according to Israeli authorities, caused no casualties among the country's citizens. Several media outlets reported the death of one person, believed to be a Palestinian from the Gaza Strip, in the West Bank.
The Iranians claim that the missiles hit Israeli military targets; the Israelis call the damage “minimal.” They promise to strike back, and the United States to come to the aid of its main Middle Eastern ally. The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, after Iran’s missile attack on Israel, said that the administration of US President Joe Biden had failed in the Middle East, demonstrating complete helplessness in resolving crises.
