The Israeli army (IDF) ordered residents of another 22 villages in southern Lebanon to evacuate to areas north of the Awali River, the Times of Israel reports.
The IDF statement also warned residents of southern Lebanon not to return to their homes as troops continue to fight Hezbollah in the area. “Israeli forces continue to attack Hezbollah positions in or near your villages,” military spokesman Avichai Adrai said on TV X.
“For your own safety, do not return to your homes until further notice. Don't go south. Anyone who goes south could be putting their life at risk,” he added.
Adraei also called on health workers and medical teams in southern Lebanon to avoid using ambulances, saying they are being used by Hezbollah militants.
“We call on medical teams to avoid contact with Hezbollah members and not to cooperate with them. The IDF confirms that the necessary measures will be taken against any vehicle carrying armed personnel, regardless of its type,” he said.
