On March 27-30, Armenia will take part in a separate pavilion at the International Leipzig Book Fair.
The International Leipzig Book Fair is a major platform for cooperation and communication, which unites the literary communities of the world, readers, state structures, publishing houses, literary agencies, translators, private companies, media professionals.
Within the framework of the exhibition-fair, programs will be presented in the national and individual pavilions, where dialogue-discussions, events, exhibitions, meetings, truffles will be held.
The Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Armenia will be represented by the National Pavilion of Armenia in cooperation with the National Library and Avetik-Isahakyan House-Museum. With the support of the Armenian historical and cultural heritage published in recent years, the Armenian historical and cultural heritage books, as well as works by Armenian classical and modern authors, will be presented in the Armenian pavilion.
The "Grant" program "Armenian literature in translations of the RA Ministry of Educations will be presented in the pavilion." Within the framework of this program implemented with the publishers of Armenia and Foreigners, the Ministry provides a partial grant to the foreign publishers who are ready to publish the works of classical and modern Armenian authors in their country.
Avetik Isahakyan's plaque will open in Leipzig
Armenia's participation in the International Book Fair of Leipzig This year is a great deal of great Armenian anniversary of the 150th anniversary and popularization of its works.
Avetik Isahakyan's memorial plaque at Friedrich-Ebert-Strasse-27, in cooperation with the RA Ministry of Education and Leipzig Municipality, will open a "identity". During his stay at the University of Leipzig, Avetik Isahakyan lived at the mentioned address.
The memorial plaque will provide information about the poet's Leipzigyan years, while proving that Isahakyan, together with Johannes Lepsius, was one of the founders of the Armenian-German company. The Black Tuff of Gyumri, as a symbol of Armenianness, will also be attached to the memorial plaque, which Isahakyan loved, and his home house was built of that tuff. There will be a QR code on the memorial plaque, which people can watch Isahakyan's and Germany's relations in German.
After the opening of the memorial plaque, a classical music concert will take place at the Alte Börse Concert Hall. Songs based on Isahakyan's poems will be performed.
Events will take place in various pavilions within the exhibition.

It should be reminded that the agreement on Armenia's participation in the 2025 International Book Fair was reached in 2024 within the framework of the RA Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports in the Federal Republic of Germany. At the meeting with Leipzig Mayor Burcard Jung, the Minister discussed cooperation programs. The director of the Leipzig Book Fair as an agreement was reached at the meeting, during which an agreement was reached on the participation of Armenia's Leipzig Book Fair.
The ministry is reminded that last year 2085 visits of 40 countries and 2,53,000 visits and 55,000 journalists and media representatives took part in the Leipzig Book International Exhibition-Fair. The annual international exhibition of Leipzig's book was founded in 1632.
