Valentina Matvienko, Chairman of the Russian Federation, left for Azerbaijan on an official visit, meetings with the country's leadership, RIA Novosti reported.
"A delegation of the Federal Council headed by Valentina Matvienko, Chairman of the Federation Council, left for the Republic of Azerbaijan on an official visit.
During the visit, meetings with the Azerbaijani leadership are planned, "the statement said.
The press service also said that the sitting of the Armenian Federal Assembly of the Federal Assembly and the Milli Mejlis of Azerbaijan (Parliament) will be held in Baku.
