Human Rights Defender Anahit Manasyan met with Council of Europe Commissioner for Human Rights Michael Oflahert on March 11 as part of a working visit to Strasbourg.

Issues related to the importance of security of the Ombudsman and human rights activists were discussed.
The Defender touched upon the processes of the processes carried out against ethnic Armenians in Azerbaijan in terms of human rights.
Anahit Manasyan also stressed the importance of cooperation between the Defender and the Ombudsman's establishment with civil society organizations.
Among other things, issues related to the opportunities to expand cooperation in the field of human rights and promotion were discussed.
