The US offers Israel to limit the scale of its attack on Iran, Bloomberg reports

The United States is offering Israel to limit the scale of its retaliatory strike on Iran in exchange for the introduction of economic sanctions against Tehran, Bloomberg reports, citing sources. According to the agency, US officials fear that attacks on Iran's energy infrastructure could “shatter energy markets.”
"(US President Joe) Biden's team is insisting that Israel limit its retaliation against Iran... to military targets... The US is offering alternatives, such as a new round of economic sanctions," the report said, citing sources.
On October 1, Iran subjected Israel to massive rocket fire for the second time in history, calling it an act of self-defense. The Israeli military says about 180 ballistic missiles were fired, most of which were intercepted. Videos on social networks captured the aftermath of shells falling in different areas of Israel. The shelling, according to Israeli authorities, caused no casualties among the country's citizens. A number of media outlets reported the death of one person, presumably a Palestinian from the Gaza Strip, in the West Bank.
