The 88-year-old pontifikos are "worse than yesterday" and has received a blood transfusion, the statement said.
It is clear that blood transfusion is considered necessary due to low levels of platelets.
"The situation of the Holy Father remains extremely difficult," the Vatican's statement said.
It is noted that the Holy Father is conscious and spent the day on the throne, "Although it was more difficult for him than yesterday."
The Pope moved to Jemeli hospital on February 14, as he had difficulties in breathing, after which he was diagnosed with pneumonia in both lungs.
