Belgium will be able to start providing F-16s to Kiev as soon as the end of 2025

Belgium will be able to start the supply of F-16 fighters who have previously promised Ukraine not earlier than the end of 2025, said Fredrik Vansina, Chief of the Kingdom General Staff.

In April last year, former Defense Minister Ludivin Daden, the Kingdom could supply his F-16 fighters to Ukraine until the end of 2024. At the same time, in December, the Belgian Defense Ministry declared that it would not be able to make a promise.

"We expect that we will start supplies by the end of this year," said the Chief of General Staff of Belgium.

The Belgian authorities planned to "start the supplies of their F-16 planes as soon as possible." In general, the Kingdom expected to move 30 such fighters to Kiev until 2028, but it was noted that the terms depend on the transfer of F-35 to Brussels.
