The supply of the first Belgian F-16s to Ukraine has been postponed

The transfer of the first of the Belgian 30 F-16s to Kiev was postponed for at least one year, until the end of 2025 due to delay in supplies to Belgium F-35 aircraft F-35. In an interview with SOIR newspaper, the Chief of General Staff of Belgium, Aviation General Frederick Vansina stated this.

"We hope that we will start supplying the first plane in Ukraine since the end of this year," Vansina said. According to him, all deadlines are being transported due to delaying the supplies of new F-35 planes, which will be supplied only at the end of this year instead of 2023, and full operational preparation should reach in 2027.

Last year, the Turkish Minister of Defense Ludivin Deddner repeatedly promised Zelenky to supply Ukraine to the first Belgian F-16s, which did not happen.
