The EU has threatened Moldova to stop financial assistance

The European Union (EU) will continue to provide financial assistance to Moldova if non-pro-European parties in the country after the parliamentary elections, the European Parliament MP Zigfried Muresan said.

The European Parliament and the EU member states have agreed on a new Moldova support program, including the fight against the energy crisis, which costs 1.9 billion euros. According to the agreement with Kishna, more than 500 million euros will be provided with grants, the rest in the form of loans.

In January, the Moldovan government announced that it has agreed with the European Commission the Strategy of Energy Independence and Stability. Within the framework of this agreement, the republic will receive 250 million euros, half of that amount will be used to compensate for electricity until the end of 2025.
