The “Hraparak” newspaper writes:
“A fire broke out in one of the warehouses of the “Avshar” wine and brandy factory, owned by former National Assembly deputy Arayik Grigoryan, as a result of which a certain amount of brandy was burned.
We were told by the village of Avshar that a fire broke out on Sunday in a former furniture factory, in one part of which brandy was stored.
The fire damaged containers filled with brandy, and, according to residents, the factory suffered about 50 million drams in damage.
We inquired about the incident from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and they answered us: "On February 9, at 11:24, a citizen reported that garbage was burning near the former furniture factory in the Avshar settlement.
One fire brigade each from the Ararat and Vedi Fire Departments was dispatched. The fire was isolated at 12:36 and extinguished at 14:02.
In the former wheat warehouse located at 1/1 Shiraz Street (about 200 square meters), about 20 square meters of the wooden structures of the warehouse roof burned down, about 60 square meters of wooden stands in the warehouse, and glass containers were partially damaged.
"The garbage accumulated inside the building (about 60 square meters) located at 11 Khorenatsi Street and about 10 square meters of the wooden structural elements of the roof were also partially burned."
