The US Diplomatic Service and the Federation of Public Servants have filed a lawsuit against US President Donald Trump's administration, aims to block the White House of the United States International Development Agency (USAID, USAID).
The plaintiffs claim that Trump has made a number of "unconstitutional and illegal actions."
"These actions have led to a global humanitarian crisis, stopping the important work of USAID employees, grants and contractors. They have costs thousands of Americans' jobs and threaten US national security interests, "the lawsuit said. According to the unions, the US Congress is the only organization that has been endowed with the authorization of USAID.
The plaintiffs ask the court illegally to the trump's administration, and issued an order from the President's administration to "suspend the unauthorized actions taken by Congress."
In particular, the lawsuit requires the independent acting of the USAID Director, the reopening of the agency's buildings, the resumption of all grants and contracts, the cessation of the administrative leave of additional employees and the mandatory removal of the obligatory removal. Early Trump was a decree to stop the assistance provided to other countries.
On February 3, USAID officials sent a vacation to the government's Efficiency Department (DOGE) employees with the availability of secret data. According to Reuters sources, the Trump administration has reduced the number of USAID staff to 300 more than 10,000.
