It should be reminded that in the evening of January 31, five Belgian parties eventually agreed on forming a coalition. For several months, tense talks between the parties were underway to reduce the budget, increase taxes and pension reforms.
The new government aims to restrict the duration of the payment of unemployment benefits and reduce pensions for those who have passed on to early retirement, while raising the pension for employees after retirement age.
