Police arrested 31 opposition supporters during a protest held in Tbilisi, who tried to close the central highway illegally, according to Interfax, the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs stated this on February 3.
All detainees were charged with administrative offenses.
"Some of the detainees have been released by signing a court. Among them is the leader of the opposition "Change Coalition" party Nika Melia, "the Ministry of Internal Affairs said several hundred opposition supporters tried to close Tbilisi, but the police did not allow them to do so.
