The media protests in Tbilisi

Representatives of the media near the Special Investigation Service building in Tbilisi are holding a regular rally in the solidarity of "Batumelebi" and "Netgazet" founder of Midi Amaglobeli. Reports thisAliq.ge:

The protesters brought posters to the rally with the inscription "Freedom of Mzia Amaglobeli".

Protesters demand the release of the founder of the above-mentioned media. Representatives of the media consider the government responsible for the health of the Mzia Amaglobel. According to them, after a 17-day hunger strike, Amaglobel's health can be threatened with a serious threat.

Protests call on the head of the Special Investigation Service Coca Katsitadze to function, investigate the abuses of state officials and give the victim's status to Mzia Amaglobel. They also demand to stop the powers of Batumi Police Chief Irakli Jebuadze.

The participants of the rally are chanted "Freedom of Mzia Amaglobel", "Freedom of Political Prisoners".

Amaglobel has been arrested on Article 353 of the Criminal Code, an attack on a police officer, a special penitentiary employee or other state representative or public institution.
