Lukashenko and Putin had a telephone conversation

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko and Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed topical issues of bilateral cooperation and international issues over the phone, Belta agency reports.

"The heads of state synchronized the current issues of bilateral cooperation, discussed international topics and the schedule of upcoming contacts," the message says.

It is noted that the head of the Russian Federation warmly congratulated his Belarusian counterpart on the occasion of his convincing victory in the presidential elections.

The presidential elections in Belarus took place on Sunday. According to the data of the Central Electoral Commission, Lukashenko collects 86.82 percent of the votes.
