The head of the government was asked whether Israel can "win this battle without American support". "The answer is yes," he said. "While we appreciate American support, we want American support. We must win. We have no alternative," Netanyahu said.
As the Axios portal reported earlier, the Prime Minister of Israel emphasized at the meeting of the military cabinet on May 9 that the Jewish state is not a vassal of the United States. This happened after US President Joe Biden announced that in case of a major military operation in the city of Rafah in the Gaza Strip, the US will stop supplying weapons to Israel.
