Russian and Turkish Foreign Ministers Sergey Lavrov and Hakan Fidan discussed the situation in Syria, the Russian Foreign Ministry reports.
"During the conversation, thoughts were exchanged about the development of the situation in and around Syria. The need to unconditionally respect the sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity of Syria was confirmed. The ministers stressed the importance of uniting the efforts of all "external players" who can really contribute to the comprehensive settlement of the situation in Syria on the basis of ensuring the legal rights of all Syrian citizens, regardless of their political views and ethno-religious affiliation," the statement said.
