The intention of the USA and Russia to establish direct contacts between the presidents of the two countries, Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin, gives hope for settling the conflict in Ukraine. This was announced by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Economic Relations of Hungary, Peter Szijarto.
"If direct contacts between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin are established, then we will have a very good hope that the war in our neighbor's territory can finally end," said the Hungarian Foreign Minister, speaking at the press conference of the Hungarian Foreign Ministry.
"The presidents of the United States and Russia will have to talk to each other again after many years, and I think that at this moment we cannot imagine a more hopeful scenario than direct contacts between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin," Szijjarto said.
