President of the Republic Vahagn Khachaturyan presented his credentials to the newly appointed Ambassador of Italy to Armenia Alessandro Ferranti.
The president congratulated the newly appointed ambassador on the occasion of starting the diplomatic mission in Armenia and wished him success. He emphasized that close historical relations and common value systems contributed to the formation and development of friendly ties between the peoples of Armenia and Italy.
Vahagn Khachaturyan noted that Armenia values the deepening of mutually beneficial cooperation with Italy. He assured that the leadership of Armenia is ready to support the ambassador as much as possible in all initiatives aimed at the development of Armenia-Italy relations.
President Khachaturyan also emphasized the role of decentralized cooperation and cooperation at the parliamentary level.
The newly appointed ambassador thanked for the warm welcome and friendly words, assuring that during his tenure he will make every effort to strengthen and expand bilateral ties. "I undertake my mission in your country with great enthusiasm and responsibility," the ambassador said.
During the meeting, the interlocutors emphasized on both sides the further strengthening of Armenia-Italy ties and the continuous development of comprehensive cooperation, particularly in the economic, information technology and cultural spheres.
The president emphasized that relations with Italy are important for Armenia not only bilaterally, but also from the point of view of cooperation within the framework of European structures.
