The head of the IAEA will discuss Iran's nuclear program with the Trump administration

The Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Rafael Grossi, has announced that he intends to discuss the issue of the Iranian nuclear program with representatives of the new administration of US President Donald Trump in the near future.

"The time has come to return to some framework conditions for what is happening there. It is unacceptable for the country to enrich uranium at such a rate and at such a level," Grossi said in an interview with Bloomberg TV.

He reminded that last year he visited Iran and had meetings with the country's leadership.

"I think there is a clear conviction, at least on my part, that it is necessary to return to this path of international cooperation on the Iranian nuclear program.

I look forward to the negotiations with the US administration, which may take place very soon, in order to discuss ways and means to achieve this," added the Director General of the IAEA.
