In the extraordinary session of January 20, the Central Electoral Commission appointed March 30, 2025 as the day of extraordinary elections of Parakar community council of Armavir region.
On January 16, 2025, the Government of the Republic of Armenia adopted a corresponding decision on the early termination of the powers of the council of elders of the Parakar community of Armavir region and the appointment of extraordinary elections of the council of elders.
The CEC also approved the schedule of the main activities for the preparation and holding of the extraordinary election on March 30.
According to the schedule, the private television and radio broadcasting companies providing air time to parties and alliances of parties for pre-election campaigning will publish the cost of one minute of their paid air time on their air until January 22 inclusive.
During the pre-election campaign period, the organizations that manage the outdoor billboards can submit to the CEC the information on the number, surfaces, their locations and rents of panels with an area exceeding 5 square meters, as well as the number of panels located in the metro area, public transport stops and elevators, provided to the parties, alliances of the parties, until January. 27. The deadline for registration of electoral lists of parties and alliances of parties is set from March 5 to March 10, at 18:00.
The period of pre-election campaigning is from March 15 to 28 inclusive, until 24:00.
