The 5 most dangerous smartphones by radiation level

In the transition from 2G, 3G and 4G networks to 5G, the frequency range has increased to 80 GHz. This raises concerns among some experts about the level of radiation that people using modern smartphones are exposed to. Every phone emits radio waves that the body absorbs, and this radiation is especially strong when the smartphone is held close to the ear.SAR (Specific Absorption Rate) is the specific absorption rate of electromagnetic energy, a measure of how much electromagnetic field energy the tissues of the human body absorb per second. Using this indicator, it is now accepted to measure the level of harmful effects of mobile phones on people.

Stocklytics analysts compiled a list of smartphones with the highest levels of SAR radiationcounter ranking table.

The most dangerous in terms of radiation are the old Xiaomi and Samsung devices. In the first place is Xiaomi Mi A1, which was released back in 2017. Its SAR figure is 1.58 W/kg and 1.42 W/kg at the ear and body respectively.

In second place is the LTE (Long-Term Evolution) version of the same smartphone. Its SAR indicators are the same. The following phones occupy the third to fifth place.

  • Xiaomi Mi Max 3c 1.58 W/kg (ear SAR indicator) and 1.45 W/kg (body SAR),
  • Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 5G 1.56 W/kg (ear SAR) and 1.56 W/kg (body SAR),
  • Samsung Galaxy A23 5G 1.49 W/kg (ear SAR) and 1.25 W/kg (body SAR).

In addition, Samsung Note 10, Galaxy A35 and A55, as well as Redmi 5A and Note 7 Pro, according to researchers, have a significantly lower level of radiation.
