The next American administration has the opportunity to successfully solve the problems of Ukraine, US President Joe Biden said, Interfax reports.
"We have laid the foundations that will allow the next US administration to provide a bright future for the Ukrainian people," he said at the State Department. Biden believes that in the case of Ukraine, he was able to achieve both of his goals: to provide assistance to Kiev while avoiding an armed conflict with Russia.
"I needed to unite the world around Ukraine, besides, it was necessary to avoid a war between two nuclear powers," the US president emphasized. He reminded that the USA provided military aid to Ukraine and imposed sanctions against the Russian Federation.
"But there's still a lot of work to do. We can't just stop this work," Biden said.
On January 20, the inauguration ceremony of the next US president, Donald Trump, will take place in Washington.
