MLS club "Inter Miami" and striker Lionel Messi have reached an agreement on a new contract, reports Marca.
The new agreement with Messi will be until the end of 2026.
The new contract will include a clause according to which Messi will be able to go on loan to a European club during the MLS off-season, so that the player is in optimal condition.
Messi moved to "Inter Miami" playing in MLS in the summer of 2023. On August 20 of last year, the Argentine won the first cup of America, the League Cup. In December 2022, Messi became the world champion as part of the Argentine national team. He also scored more than 100 goals for the national team.
