A basic combined arms course will be introduced in Ukraine from September 1

The basic course of combined arms will be introduced in Ukraine from September 2025. This is stated in the bill on amendments to the law "On Military Duty and Service" adopted by the Verkhovna Rada in its final reading.

From September 1, 2025, basic combined arms training will be introduced for a period of up to five months, and conscription will be abolished forever, the explanatory note of the document states.

It is noted that basic combined arms training will be mandatory for all 18-year-old men who are fit for service for health reasons. The course will be attended by students of higher educational institutions, both in the universities themselves and in institutions engaged in police training.
