Airports in Los Angeles and surrounding areas continue to operate with restrictions

Los Angeles International Airport, as well as airports in its surrounding areas, continue to operate in the face of severe fire, but with a number of restrictions.

As explained to TASS by the management service of Los Angeles International Airport, one of the radio beacons ensuring the landing of the plane failed.

"In this regard, a number of flights require the technical possibility of landing using the GPS system," explained the interlocutor of the agency, noting that such a restriction can be removed in about a month no earlier.

The nearby local Santa Monica airport is warning takeoff and landing crews that several flight levels are currently occupied by drones monitoring the further spread of the fire.

In addition, the dispatch service clarified that another airport here, Bracket Field, known to moviegoers from the movies "Airport" and "Spencer Pilots", does not currently provide automatic refueling of planes.
