"Fact" daily writes:
This year marks the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Soviet Union in the Second World War or, as they called it in the USSR, the Great Patriotic War.
After 1945, various monuments and memorials dedicated to the victory of the USSR in that war, as well as to the memory of those who died, were built in the countries of the USSR, including Armenia.
And here, ahead of the jubilee, it is planned to repair, restore and improve those monuments and memorials in the territory of Armenia.
A public-politician, head of the "My Country, My Armenia" social movement Mher Avetisyan came up with such an initiative.
He called on everyone to participate in these activities on a voluntary basis and publish the results on the "Immortal Corps" Facebook platform.
Avetisyan also noted that they can apply in those settlements where his support will be needed.
He also appealed to other businessmen and well-known people, urging them to participate in this initiative.
